Is Pronounce Word Audio free?
Yes. Every pronunciation is free and unlimited. There is no account, no trial and no paywall.
How many languages are supported?
20 languages and accents, including American, British, Australian and Indian English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Chinese, Hindi, Korean, Arabic, Polish, Swedish, Dutch, Greek, Turkish and Hebrew.
Can I change the voice or speed?
Yes. Pick a male or female voice and choose slow, normal or fast speech. The audio regenerates automatically when you change a setting.
Where do the meanings and phonetics come from?
For English words we show the phonetic transcription, syllable breakdown and dictionary definitions from a free public dictionary source. Other languages return audio only.
Can I download the audio?
The audio is generated on demand and played in your browser. There is no download button, but you can replay it as many times as you like.
Do you store the words I type?
No. Words are used only to generate the audio for your request and are not saved to any database or profile.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. The page is fully responsive and works in any modern mobile or desktop browser.
